Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler debuted a new look on NBA media day that has social media buzzing.
On Monday (October 2), Butler sported an "emo" look with long, straight hair, piercings, and black fingernails.
“I’m feeling this,” Butler said Monday. “I’m very emotional right now. This is my emo state and I like this. This is me. This is how I’ve been feeling as of late.”
This isn't the first time Butler has tried out a new style. Last year, the Heat player showed up to training camp in dreads.
“I mean, I never know how I’m going to wake up in the morning, man,” Butler said. “So this is how I feel today and we’ll see tomorrow. Tomorrow I might be in all yellow, who knows. You’re lucky we didn’t get to wear our black jerseys because I’m supposed to be in all black.”
Bam Adebayo, Butler’s teammate, was in disbelief over the new look.
“What is wrong with this man? No, man. That’s not real. Oh my god, bro,” Adebayo said. “I knew I should have worn a blonde ‘fro. I’m going to start having fun in training camp.”
